Looks rather similar to a bunch of the country roads I went through this summer, actually. The pillars were not that white though. Not everywhere, anyway.
I must take a shot of the road as it is now...just for interest. The whitewashed pillars were lovely and over time they weathered/aged nicely, since they were rarely re-painted :)
