Seagulls

These gulls (Black-headed, I think) were surfing the wind currents quite spectacularly the other day on Portstewart Prom:

They seemed to be doing it for fun, or maybe to hone their skills, as they would take themselves off and into the currents and then just hang there.  I'd do the same if I could.

  2. Indeed, great shot. I had an entire ice cream, cone and all stolen by the little bleeders on a recent trip to the Isles of Scilly. One lick was all I got. Resourceful!

    1. Thank you CD.

Now that would be annoying! Did anyone capture it on camera?! I remember visiting Eastbourne a few years ago...the gulls were monsters. We saw one swoop on a lady eating her sandwich and they had a right old tug-of-war over it. I can't remember who won but I doubt there was much left, certainly not much edible, anyway!
