Doing what they do best

This is Sean and Michael - two of The Brother's colleagues.  Doing what they do best - which, being Philosophy Professors, is thinking, questioning, engaging in discourse, and, ahem, socialising.  Particularly socialising.

Sean and Michael, 2018.  Foma paper, lith developer.

This was a tough one to print.  My own fault, since it was way underexposed in the Hasselblad.  I had no meter with me so it was a bit of a guess - and a poor one at that.  My first print was distinctly lacking in anything and the second not much better.  I turned to lith for salvation and wasn't disappointed.  It was HP5+ rated at either 800 or 1600 and developed in RO9.  Almost full frame and the grain is nicely enhanced by the lith developer.  I was well pleased with the result.

  1. You did a great job of printing this, especially considering the circumstances. These two socialisers look like the professors I had when I was a philosophy major back in Newfoundland. Most of my professors were pretty funny as well.

    1. Cheers Marcus. I wonder if there's a common look about Philosophy Professors :) Perhaps all that 'thinking', eh? The ones I know through my brother are all pretty clued up and enjoy 'the craic' as we would say in Ireland. So you majored in Philosophy? Are you in academia now Marcus or something else?

    2. Semi-academia? I teach English as a Foreign Language at a university here in Korea. Every now and then I get the chance to teach a class in something a bit more interesting like the history of English or western culture.

    3. That sounds good to me, Marcus. Universities are vibrant places to be - even better when you get paid to be there :) I miss the energy of University life a lot.
