Mick

One of my old Uni mates at our 40 year reunion a few weeks ago:

Snapped in the beer garden of the Crystal Palace public house - a stone's throw from Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths.

I took the Nikon N80 with me this time, set to auto-everything as I wanted to enjoy the time with my friends as much as possible and not be worrying about exposure settings (or focus).  It worked well, I have to admit.  The built-in flash was a great help in the low light of pubs and restaurants that we found ourselves in.

  1. You probably shouldn't mention "stone's throw" and "crystal palace" in the same sentence. :)
The F80/N80 is a great camera. I loaned mine to a friend. I don't think she's using it (the film thing was a passing fad for her) so perhaps I could ask for it back. It would be a great camera for hanging off my neck on bicycle rides.

    1. Mine was a gift from my sister-in-law when she moved to digital. It feels plasticky, with a slightly sticky covering (which happens, apparently) but at the same time it is extremely well-spec'd. It's also light, which is another bonus. I should use it more often as it seems hard to fool under most lighting conditions.

    2. The meter is great for sure. I've never been confidant about using flash, so it was great I could switch the camera to P mode and let the camera do all the work.
